About G-EGD

G-EGD is a web-based application to quickly and easily view, analyze, and download Maxar data that is available to you via Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (G-EGD). Your subscription may contain Maxar satellite or aerial imagery, or even custom sources of geospatial data. G-EGD allows you to identify the best available image(s) for your area of interest and then view and download them in the format that integrates most efficiently into your workflow.

Maxar's most current imagery, the "global daily take," adds 800–1,000 strips equaling 1–1.5 million km2 each day with these specifications:

  • Cloud Cover: 50% equatorial, 35% outside equatorial, or as NGA-directed
  • Off-Nadir Angle: 0–30 degrees
  • Digital Elevation Models (DEMs):

    • SRTM 90m
    • USGS National Elevation Dataset (NED) 30m over CONUS & Alaska, NED 10m over Hawaii
    • InterMap World 30m (ASTER-based) north of 60⁰

Some features are not available when viewing G-EGD on a mobile device.

G-EGD is available on these networks:

  • Internet 1BM km2 content, including full global daily take, Foundation GEOINT mosaics, and Maxar commercial "Global Base Map" mosaics
  • SIPRNet 263M km2 mostly panchromatic content, a subset of global daily take, a subset of Foundation GEOINT mosaics
  • NIPRNet 3M nm2 mostly panchromatic content, a subset of global daily take, a subset of Foundation GEOINT mosaics

In addition to the G-EGD application, you can also access your G-EGD subscription data using third-party tools like ArcGIS. See Third-Party Tools.
