Searching for a Location
Search functionality is driven by the basemap you've selected. You can search for a location using any of the following:
- Partial address
- Full address
- Name (e.g., landmark name)
- Latitude/longitude in decimal format (e.g., 41.7453, 71.3180)
- Latitude/longitude in degrees, minutes, seconds separated by spaces (e.g., 41 44 43, 71 19 5)
- Latitude/longitude in GEO format, with degrees, minutes, seconds and the directional indicator with no spaces (e.g., 414443N711905E)
- MGRS grid reference
16-digit (archive) or 32-digit (online) Feature ID (both are case sensitive)
When you search using the 16-digit (archive) Feature ID, the system retrieves the image from the archive, even if the image is also available online.
40-character Feature IDs may also be used to access WorldView 4 imagery if your account is configured for WorldView 4 imagery. The full 40-character Feature ID is required, including dashes.
- Enter your search term in the search box.
- Press ENTER or select the Search icon
.
- If there is only one result, the viewport zooms to that location.
- For Feature ID searches, the view zooms to show the full extent of the image. The Carousel locks with the single image selected.
- If multiple results are available, possible matches are listed below the search box. To zoom to a location, select an option from the list.
If a match is not available, you will see a "no results" message. Try generalizing your search to improve your results.
If 1234 Main San Francisco CA doesn't return results, try just San Francisco, CA.
