Projects

Projects facilitate material selection across a large area by dividing your AOI into a grid of 1-degree cells, and then presenting the available images one cell at a time. Depending on how you created your AOI, the cells are either:

• Dynamic Not aligned with the coordinates grid. Your AOI is centered with minimum buffer, which is best for projects that are oddly shaped or where the coordinate grid alignment is unimportant. Create a dynamic AOI using any method except the Select Cells interface (see Defining an Area of Interest). This results in one single set of images for the entire AOI.

• Static Aligned with the coordinates grid. Create an AOI using the Select Cells interface to select up to 10 specific cells (see Defining an Area of Interest). This results in a separate set of images for each coordinate grid cell.
