Opening Downloaded Tilesets

If you have downloaded a tileset from your library, you can view it in a viewer such as Google Earth or My DigitalGlobe Lite.

  1. Download the tileset from your library. See Downloading Imagery from the Library.
  2. Browse your local disk and find the tileset's TAR file or GeoPackage file.
  3. If you downloaded the tilesets in TAR format, untar/extract the files.

    The TAR file's name is used as the folder name.

  4. Open the tileset using your preferred viewer.

    • Google Earth In the file folder, double-click superoverlay.kml. Google Earth opens to the tileset's AOI.

    • My DigitalGlobe Lite Browse to the MyDGLite folder in the tileset and double-click MyDG-Lite.html. The generated tileset opens in the MyDG Lite browser.
