Viewing the Coordinate Reference Grid
You can view coordinate units in the viewport using a reference grid. The grid uses the same coordinate units that are selected in the latitude/longitude drop-down menu (see Using Map Coordinates).
Do one of the following, depending on the part of the interface you are using:
- Keyboard Shortcut Press SHIFT + G.
Header In the header, select the grid toggle icon

By default, Overlays > Grid is selected. Quickly toggle the grid on or off using the grid toggle icon

If you have deselected the Grid option, you will need to reselect it before you can toggle on the grid in the viewport using the grid toggle icon

The grid appears. The grid toggle icon turns green to indicate that the grid has been turned on.

- To turn off the coordinate reference grid, press the keyboard shortcut or select the grid toggle icon

- If you take a snapshot while the grid is active, you can choose to include the grid in the snapshot. (Available at zoom level 13 or higher.) See Taking a Snapshot.
- You can change the color, thickness, and opacity of the grid by adjusting the options in the Settings pane. See Settings.
