Exporting a Project as a Shapefile

You can export a project as a shapefile to open it in a third-party tool. You can export a project from the Projects dialog or from the Project Editpane.

Exporting a Project from the Projects Dialog

1. On the side panel, select the Projects icon . The Projects pane opens.

2. Select Manage Projects. The Projects dialog opens.

3. Next to any project, select the Action Menu , then select Export as Shapefile. The shapefile downloads.

Exporting a Project from the Project Edit Pane

If you have a project open in the Project Edit pane (see Editing a Project) and you want to export it, do the following:

1. In the Project Edit pane, select the Actions button.

2. Select Export to Shapefile.

• If your account is configured for Large Area Download, after you select images you can create a mashup of up to 100,000 km². A mashup is a single-file snapshot and a mosaic. It can be used offline. See Creating Mashups from Project Imagery.
