More Information

  • When you import shapefiles, your file must contain a name or fname column within the attribute table that has the name of the annotation, otherwise the name "Untitled" is added to your shape by default. All annotations created within G-EGD will contain a default name of "Untitled" when you export them. If the file was created with a third party tool, then the name of the shape is retained.

  • When you export annotations, your styles are preserved for use in third party tools. However, when you import annotations, styles revert to the default styling, and you can modify them. Most types of annotations are supported when exported, but your third-party tool may interpret the annotation type differently from G-EGD.
